Let’s keep the party going! In this very special episode of Herding Code, Rob Conery puts Jon, Scott K and Kevin on the spot as he turns the tables and asks his own questions and passes his own judgments. Do you want to know how Herding Code came about? Are you curious how Rob and the guys feel Herding Code differs from the other podcasts? Have you ever wondered how the Herding Code members might map to the cast of The View? All in good fun, Rob derails the show and gives us a behind the scenes look into Herding Code productions.

Rob’s a great guest – if K.Scott is spending more time with the cows, perhaps Rob can step in as a temporary host?

Why do MVC enthusiasts want every WebForm based asp.net application implying that WebForms is bad. DotNetNuke started around 2001-2002 and it’s the biggest open source asp.net app. Asking the DNN team to convert it to MVC is unrealistic. The DNN developers are stretched very thin fixing lots of bugs and adding features. Plus there’s a huge community of DNN modules. I would say it’s practically impossible to do any conversion.
Another unrealistic suggestion to have a parallel MVC development going on. If something works and actively developed, let it be.

I think Rob was pushing for more color on the show – Please, please, no additional color. The lack of fluff is one thing I like about Herding Code and Hanselman too. Please, no corny, interminable show intros or descriptions of last night’s dinner or how the home town high school football team is doing.
Thanks,
Bill
